As the name itself says, Polytechnic University of Marche (UPM) is exclusively made up of Colleges in the technical-scientific fields and differs from a Polytechnic because of its wider dimensions in terms of scientific areas. Besides the technical-scientific Colleges of Engineering, Sciences and Agriculture, UPM also includes the Colleges of Economics and Medicine and Surgery. Each College offers all possible Courses of the higher education cycles: under-graduate (Laurea triennale), post-graduate (Laurea Magistrale), professional post-lauream courses (Master) and PhD programs.

The University of Ferrara (UniFE) was founded in 1391 by the Marquise Alberto V of Este with the permission of Pope Bonifacio IX. The first courses to be inaugurated were Arts, Theology and Law and were taught by famous teachers such as Bartolomeo Saliceto, an expert among jurists. The University of Ferrara, one of World’s oldest universities, has welcomed and educated illustrious personalities. During the 15th and 16th centuries, Ferrara became one of the most thriving centres of Italian Renaissance culture and the University enjoyed a period of great prestige, thanks also to the presence of illustrious intellectuals such as Nicolò Copernico and Paracelso.

The European Foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (FEMTC) has the main goal of promoting and teaching Chinese medicine according to current quality and scientific standards. The FEMTC was founded in 1989 thanks to the request of the Medical Association of Tarragona (Spain). It is the only Spanish Foundation dedicated entirely to Chinese medicine.
