"The legal perspective on Europe-China integration"

Pamela Lattanzi, Phd in Agricultural and Environmental Law (University of Macerata), is Associate Professor at the College of Law, University of Macerata, where she teaches Agricultural Law. She is delegate of the College of Law for Research and International cooperation programs and is Director of the Leading Council of the “Ghino Valenti Agricultural, Environmental and Food Laboratory” (University of Macerata). Moreover she is member of the scientific board of the PhD program of “Agricultural, Environmental and Food law” held by the University of Macerata.
She was visiting academic at Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow (Russia) and Département de Droit et Changement sociale – Université de Nantes (France).
She has been involved in several national research projects financed by Italian Ministry of University and Research on the topics of international food trade, food safety, food security. She is also member of the research team of the international project “Introducing Marketing Principles in the Agricultural Sector” (Lifelong Learning Programme Leonardo da Vinci - Multilateral projects - Transfer of Innovation) and she is the Work Package Leader, for the legal area, of the European research project “China and Europe Taking care of Healthcare Solutions - CHETCH” financed by the European Commission (FP7-PEOPLE-2013-IRSES, Marie Curie Actions) with a total budget of 688.800 Euro.
She has written extensively on Food law (labelling, consumer protection, liability) and EU and Italian energy law (agroenergy, sustainable biofuels). She is member of the editorial staff of the review “Agricoltura, Instituzioni, Mercati”, published by FrancoAngeli (Milan).
Her actual main research interests are:

  • international trade of food and agricultural products;
  • food security and energy security issues;
  • active ageing and functional food.
