Working Package 6 Leader
Attilio Mucelli is Associate Professor of Management Accounting at the College of Economics “Giorgio Fuà”, Polytechnic University of Marche where he teaches Business Administration, Management Accounting and Planning and control systems for Financial Intermediaries. He teaches also Business Administration at College of Medicine and Surgery of the Polytechnic University of Marche. Moreover he is member of the scientific board of the PhD program of “Business Administration” held by the Colleges of Economics of the Marche Region and Faculty member of the ISTAO Business School.
He is Visiting Professor at the Florida Gulf Coast University (US) and at the Beijing Normal University (P.R. China). He was Visiting Professor/Scholar at University of Heilbronn (Germany), Rollins College (US), Toulouse Business School (France), Capital University of Economics and Business (P.R. China).
He published several articles (25), book chapters (8) and books (10) and he has coordinated several national and international researches on the topics of Management Accounting, Intellectual Capital and International investment flows.
He is the scientific coordinator of a research project, financed by the European commission (FP7-PEOPLE-2013-IRSES, Marie Curie Actions) with a total budget of 688.800 Euro on “China and Europe Taking care of Healthcare Solutions - CHETCH”.
He is also the Work Packages Leader, for the economic area, of the European research project “Partnering opportunities between Europe and China in the Renewable energies and environmental industries - POREEN” (FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IRSES, Marie Curie Actions) financed with a total budget of 718.200 Euro.
His actual main research interests are related to the following topics:
- Pension Fund Management (Planning and Control systems and Economic and financial accounting);
- Management and cultural issues of firms’ internationalization strategies (Management and Cultural problems in internationalization processes of firms. Special focus on investments by companies from BRIC countries in the Western Markets, with specific reference to Chinese Go Global strategy and to Chinese cases of M&As abroad);
- The international harmonization of accounting standards (European standards vs US standards);
- The Italian Industrial Districts (a Model for Regional Economic Development in the United States).
