On 12-13 March 2016 was held in Bologna "The 30th International Congress of A.M.A.B: Experiences in Clinical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine".
Since its foundation, A.M.A.B organized an annual International Conference on Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, which represents one of the most popular events in the field of Italian and European Acupuncture meetings .
This year, on the anniversary of 30 years since the foundation of A.M.A.B, the Congress was held over two full days. In these thirty years the Association of Medical Acupuncturists of Bologna A.M.A.B has grown enormously establishing itself as associative reality, both nationally and internationally. In these two days the most important Italian acupuncturists and some of the most important in Europe, intervened. The theme of the Congress, "Experiences in Clinical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine," offered to the speakers the opportunity to present their personal experiences on very different topics.
The Congress has also represented an important opportunity for updating on the project CHETCH - China and Europe of Taking Care of Healthcare Solutions, a project that is part of the Marie Curie Actions and where A.M.A.B is one of the participating institutions. The project lasts for four years and will end in January 2017. During these years of researching and working, A.M.A.B directed two Tasks:
1)Drawing up of European Guidelines for training in Acupuncture
2)Investigate the correct methodology of research in acupuncture and probe the efficacy, safety and cost-effectiveness of acupuncture in some of the major diseases, with greater social impact: low back pain, headaches, infertility in order to promote the inclusion of acupuncture in European Public Health Systems for these diseases.

The variety of themes, has represented a unique and important opportunity to updating, for medical experts in acupuncture and younger: participation was extremely high, over 540 physicians from Italy and abroad have attended the Congress.
