On April 21st 2014, Attilio Mucelli and Francesca Spigarelli have had a very hopeful meeting at the CCCHPIE (China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicine and Health Products).
They met Ms He Chunhong (Deputy Director) and Ms Zhang Li (Department of Law and Affairs & Strategic Planning) and they discussed about the possibility of an active collaboration with CHETCH.
CCCMHPIE, founded in 1989, is the leading and most influential national trade association in China with a mission to promote the international trade and cooperation in medicinal and health products. This Institution, directly under the Ministry of Commerce of China, has a diverse membership of more than 1,800 companies including most of the major manufacturers and trading companies of pharmaceutical and health products across China.
The CCCMHPIE activities cover a range of Traditional Chinese Medicines (TCM), pharmaceuticals, preparations, medical devices and equipment, dressings, biopharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, functional cosmetics to health products.
This Institution is very active in formulating and implementing government policies, governing import and export of medicines and health products. It represents the concerns of business to all levels of government as the voice of the industry. It lobbies government on trade issues via a number of channels including face to face meetings with governmental departments, participation in government task force and special committees, and conducting original research critical to the development of the industry. On behalf of the industry, CCCMHPIE also participates in bilateral and multilateral talks between the Chinese and foreign governments on medicinal products.
For these reasons, the collaboration with the CCCMHPIE is very important for CHETCH researchers.
